Celebrating the Eisteddfod
In the first week back after the holidays, the Welshness Committee held lunchtime activities to celebrate and raise awareness of the fact that the National Eisteddfod was coming to Lŷn and Eifionydd. There were different activities during the week including fundraising activities, an 'Ein Llŷn ac Eifionydd Ni' activity and a photobooth. Myrddin ap Dafydd was at the school on Thursday, he came over to see the pupils' activities. Thanks to the committee members for all the hard work during the busy week!

Llŷn and Eifionydd Film Project
The year 9 film crew have been very busy in recent weeks preparing a joint film with Seiont Film Company. They have had the opportunity to interview several people from the area including the Mayor of the Town, Keith Parry to talk about the Nature Reserve, John Dilwyn Williams to talk about the history of the town, Myrddin ap Dafydd to talk about the Eisteddfod and Pwllheli connections and Paul Jenkison to talk about his experiences as a nature photographer. In addition, some members of the crew visited Neuadd Dwyfor to interview staff Dyfed Pritchard and Ceridwen Price to talk about entertainment in the town of Pwllheli. We look forward to seeing the finished film soon.
SECONDARY PRIMARY TRANSITION
It was great to welcome pupils from school’s catchment area for a morning to see the animation work that has been done during the term. There has been collaboration between our year 9 pupils and the primary school pupils. You will get to see the finished work in the school tent at the National Eisteddfod.
After lunch the pupils along with the school's year 7 pupils had the opportunity to enjoy Tudur Phillips' show "Coming soon to Boduan". This was a fun afternoon and a chance to learn about what will be enjoyed on the field.

We had a very special celebration to say goodbye to Year 11 pupils on Thursday, June 22nd. The pupils and their parents came to school in the afternoon and we had a very special ceremony in the company of two of our former pupils Alun Jones-Williams and Twm Ellis who are busy members of Bwncath. Their message to the pupils was extremely timely and valuable.
Following a wonderful afternoon at school, there was a great evening in Nant Gwrtheyrn in the company of DJ Bustach. Thank you to all the staff at the Nant for the wonderful arrangements and food and thank you to everyone involved for ensuring our pupils got to celebrate successes and have the opportunity to say goodbye to the school. We look forward to seeing you in August and following your next adventures. Thank you for being a great bunch and good luck to all of you.
