Duke of Edinburgh - a group of Year 11 pupils completing a qualification in Outdoor Learning have been on a recent expedition. The pupils walked and camped in the Aberdaron area following a period of training at the school. They have won the Duke of Edinburgh's Bronze Award following this activity. Thanks to Andrew Owen from the Youth Service and Urdd staff for their support and guidance during the preparation and the journey. Year 10 crews will be camping in June and you'll get their story in the next issue.;

 Eisteddfod Genedlaethol Film Project Workshop

15 pupils from the school plus primary school pupils from the catchment area are taking part in a  Film  and Animation  Project led by Robin Williams and Dafydd Roberts. The finished work will be shown at the National Eisteddfod . We will be delighted to welcome you to our tent on the field so you can see all the work. Remember to call.

“DYMA NI” MUSICAL - Congratulations to 6 pupils from the school who were cast members of the musical “ Dyma Ni “under the care of Gwynedd and Môn Musica Service. The musical was staged at the Galeri during late April and early May. The show was thrilling and everyone did their parts brilliantly. Well done to you all and every other member of the cast and the production team.

 

EISTEDDFOD YR URDD

Best wishes to Lea Roberts, parti cerdd dant and year 7/8/9 ladies' party who will be competing  in the Urdd Eisteddfod in Llandovery during the half term holidays.

 

URDD ARTS AND CRAFTS

Congratulations to Meilyg Rhisiart on coming second for creating a comic strip at the Urdd Eisteddfod.
Congratulations also goes to Dewi Griffith who came second in the same competition in Eisteddfod Sir yr Urdd.
Well done boys.

 

SPORTING SUCCESS

ATHLETICS
Congratulations to Lily Hardy on her success in Eryri athletics. She will go on to represent Eryri schools at Welsh level in the 300meters and  long jump.

HOCKEY
Congratulations to Effi Jones, Mela Jones and Cara Studt on being selected as members of the North Wales hockey squad. Effi was also chosen to be captain.

CRICKET
Congratulations to Harri Adams on being selected to play with the North Wales Cricket team. He played against Ellesmere College. Well done.

Football
Congratulations to Lois Love , Efa Grug Williams and Heidi Condliffe who are very accomplished footballers. They won the Vauxhall Premier Cup for girls under 14th in a tournament  at Ellesmere Port. They play forPorthmadog women's football team . Well done girls on your success.
