One kind word

November 25th to 29th was the anti-bullying week. The week is organised annually by the anti-bullying alliance, and the main message of this year’s campaign was “One kind Word”. The school anti-bullying group decided to support the week by creating a short film discussing the effect of bullying, whilst highlighting the importance of that “one kind word” we can say to each other. Member of the group said,

“the message is simple, but important. The film making process with year 9 pupils gave us the chance to think of the positive effect of the simple kind thing we can do”.

Although anti-bullying week is a one week campaign, the anti-bullying group is keen on continuing to emphasise the simple but powerful message about the difference that “One Kind word” could make.

Police Visit.

It was a pleasure to welcome our new School Liaison Officer PC Rhiannon Wright to the school recently. She provided information and advice to year 7 on internet safety. We look forward to seeing you soon with other pupils.

Plas Glyn y Weddw visit.

A group from Year 11 studying for an Agored Cymru qualification visited Plas Glyn y Weddw for a chance to appreciate the work of local artists and artists from Wales.

It was an enjoyable afternoon in a wonderful location. Delicious Cakes were enjoyed before returning to school. Thank you very much for the welcome
