The new season means a busy time for some of the school's football teams

The Year 10 boys football team competed in the 1st round of the Welsh Cup against Ysgol Botwnnog. The score at the end of the game was Botwnnog :1 Glan y Môr :9.
The school's goals were scored by Charlie Griffith x 3; Llyr Williams x 2; Leon Jarvis-Hughes; Osian Williams; Noah Griffith; Owen Roberts. Well done guys and good luck in the next round.

The year 8 boys football team had a trip to Dolgellau to play against Ysgol Bro Idris. It was an exciting game between them. The smile on the boys' faces says it all after their victory. The score was 11-3. Thanks to Bro Idris for the game and congratulations boys on your success!

Success At Wales Level

Wheelchair Basket Ball

Congratulations to Steffan and Jac from year 9 on their success in the British Wheelchair Basketball Championship in August. The Welsh Under 14 team came second in this year's championship, and the final score against the Yorkshire Team was 12-22. "It was a great experience to be a member of the Welsh team!" said Jac about his experience in the Championship. Congratulations to both on their special achievement.

Wales Football Team

Congratulations to Hari Anwyl Roberts on being selected once again to represent Wales under 16 football team. He will travel with the football squad to France at the beginning of October.

Musical Success

Following her success during the summer, Lea Roberts is representing the school at the North Wales Music Festival at the Cathedral in St Asaph at the beginning of October. She will have the special experience of performing with the Symphony Orchestra led by the famous musician Jon Guy. The theme is "Old Legends". There are several other young musicians from different schools from North Wales taking part in this event. Well done Lea and good luck in the concert.

First Meeting Of Senate

These are the members of the School Senate that met on Thursday afternoon, 29/9/2022 for the first time. The School Senate is an important forum for the pupils to discuss issues that influence school life. In addition to this, there will be a representation from the Senate on the school's Governing Body. At this initial meeting, various sub-groups were formed which will map a work program for the year. The school is looking forward to their important contribution to school life.

School Eisteddfod  

The School Eisteddfod will be re-launching this year for the first time since 2019. The following pupils from year 11 were elected to lead their teams. Which team will win? We will find out on Thursday the 27th of October!

Macmillan Coffee Morning

Friday morning, September 30th on Macmillan's coffee morning day the school staff enjoyed a cuppa and cake to raise money for the appeal. The pupils also collected money by donating cakes and selling them to their fellow pupils.
